Were you able to find the time to swing by and look at that motor?

Wait if you can. It usually pops up like a week right after your road trip.

The one that usually slip away would be e32 735i with bad auto trans. If it's not at the yard, the owner usually just let it sit in the driveway.

i picked one up from the euro depot shipped to my door in Delaware from conneticut i think, for $500. Didn't come with an ecm but it came out of a running car.

I found a couple, one is still 8 away but in Florida. It is in fact a E32 with a bad trans. No forward gears, but running. He can't find his title though. He is willing to let me take the whole car for $300. The other is a motor only no ecu, or harness. But only an hour and half from my house and has an option of getting a warranty.

Check the oil, coolant, remove valve cover to see more of the inside. Does it crank?

From what he tells me. Says it runs strong but no forward gears. Will go in reverse. I'm not gonna get it though. Without a title I won't be able to scrap it. I would live to go get it though, and for the pull yard motor, it's $350 without ecu, harness, or accessories.....
