with the b35 head you're gonna drop down to around 7.5 or so to 1. Stock is 8:1. Plenty low enough for boost. The hot ticket would be to get the cam, valves, and valve spring from the b35 and have the b34 head machined to accept the larger b35 valves. The b35 cam also has more lift and duration and dual valve springs. This is what I am doing to my b34.

G265 has it's advantages. Removable bell housing - and IIRC it a beefier trans.
You will need get a custom driveshaft - I used a e30m3 DS shortened. I paid $200 for the shaft, and $400 for it to be shortened, rebuilt, and rebalanced.

Yea, you can sell that g265 for ~$250-300 (?) - and get a m30 5-speed tranny, then mix and match front and rear driveshaft to get what you need. I forget what you need - but the info is on here somewhere.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?Comment

Man, so much haterade for the g265 - :p . Just wanted to offer my $0.02 on using one. All you have to do is shorten the front half a bit, reuse the rear section as-is, and mount it up using an e30 m3 transmission brace. In my case I used the front from an e28 and the rear from my 318, sent the whole assembly out to a shop in RI who shortened and balanced it for me. If you do end up sticking with the g260 don't forget that you'll need a large flange driveshaft if I'm not mistaken.Comment

No hatred - If you go back on the archives on the m30 stuff - you'll find guys getting a DS modified at a truck(semi-trackto trailer) for $20. I was just telling you want I had to do in my part of the country. That said - it's a better box.
In the words of will smith - don't be silly.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?Comment

I'm using the 265 trans and it looks like a combo of e12 driveshaft and e30 is gonna work without modification. Tho I haven't had a chance to put them together, the measurements look right.
If you go 265 then pick up a new e30 m3 trans brace. They're like $25 from pelicansigpicComment
