    m30 idles at 1000 rpm

    just wondering if its normal for the motor to idle at that rpm.
    help is appreciated

    It's not. You might have a vacuum leak, inspect your various boots and rubber things for cracks.

      ^ check what Kronus said first. If you have 100% confirmed no vacuum leaks, check your ICV.

          Smoke test it. You may not necessarily see a crack that could cause a vac leak.

            Make sure your TPS is adjusted correctly, usually an m30 should be around 750 +/- on idle.

              i think i found the problem.
              since i swapped the motor into a 318 i must change my decoding plug on the cluster, so by changing it, it should now show the proper idle,
              so pretty much i was fooled by my own car
              lol
