    My m20 went kaboom

And now I'm swapping in an m30 like I intended. Parts/to do list:

m30b35 from e34 with the e34 pan still attached

    g265/6 out of an e28

    e28 535i radiator (notch support)

extend spark plug and thermostat wires from e30's wiring harness

    e30m30 motor mounts

    e30m3 crossmember (unless 635csi fits)

    "bent stud" trans bushings

push in the firewall to allow motor to be in the most rearward position on the motor mounts.

    m535i euro oil cooler

new spal 16" high performance curved blade fan (2000CFM)

Somewhere I heard I need e32 exhaust manifolds for clearance reasons is this true? Also remember hearing there was a benefit to using a b34 valve cover, what is the benefit? Can a driveshaft be made using stock BMW driveshafts that mounts to the g265? What should I do about transmission crossmember, I want to use a 635csi crossmember because I have a huge parts yard nearby but I'll shovel out the money for the aluminum m3 one if it's the only way. I also need to find out what bushings to use on the motor mounts.

This is my daily and I need it back running asap so any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to get this thing together in two days if possible. I pieced together info from GG's build and a couple others of varying quality.

Can I remove it if I get a strong enough electric fan? I think 2000cfm might be a little short of what I need.

Use the stock tranny mounts and bracket.
What do you mean by notch support?

              Two days????? Good luck!
Which manifolds, depends on the engine brackets.

My e30 m3 trans mount was like $24 dollars I believe. New.

I'm using b34 manifolds. I'm not sure who made my mounts tho. My engine sits in position 2.

You'll love the way the 16" Spal fits...

I'm using the (dogleg) Getrag 265 - and chose to shorten a alu shifting arm over the plate-style one.

You'll need to shorten a propshaft; I chose to use the e30 back end; and had the front (e34) end shortened so that the total lenght is 1395mm. (Engine pos 3)

You'll be glad having chosen the M3 tranny crossmember and tranny bushings...
