m30b34 dipstick oil pan and oil noob question

I've search overgoogle and here for the right answer but couldnt find the right anwser .

My Oil Dash light start to flickering sometimes, so i've cheked my oil level. I did my last oil change less than 1000 km ago and i got this reading.



Since i dont seems to have oil leak or neither the engine seems to burn oil, im asking myself if i got the right oil dipstick. I dont feel like im reaching the bottom of the oil pan. Is it normal ?

this is my current dip stick lenght with is 17 inch.



So i've made a test with a regular cloth hanger and i've got a 3 inch reading and i feel like im reaching the bottom of the oil pan.

Also the lenght from the bottom of the pan to output of the tube is 19 inch.

Question do i have the right oil dipstick ? Because if yes its seems like im loosing alot of oil!

How much oil are you putting in when you change the oil? I use about 6.2 quarts, give or take. My car is turbo so im trying to make sure there is enough oil for the turbo lines.

I remember the amount of oil for B34 or B35 was about 6 quarts.

I had a electrical probleme so the guy who did the swap redid all of the wiring and i asked him to do the oil change while he was there... I asked him yesterday and he told me he did everything he was supposed too, i trust him. So im pretty shure he did put at least 5 litre

For the B34, you have to swap the oil pump when swapping the pan. Was this properly done?

With a E34 oil pan, yes your dipstick is too short. Mine measures 18.75 inches.

so are you suppose to get a b35 oil stick for a b34 with a b35 oil plan?
