    E30M30 swap

What driveshaft did you use and do you have pics of your turbo manifold.

M90 head is identical to B34 head with the distributor. I'm running a crank trigger setup and a coil pack with megasquirt.

And like yert315 said, tune tune and tune, it really is the most important aspect of turbo system.

This with a B35 head slapped on it /done.

M30 is IMO about the best engine BMW ever made. Simple, and can handle A LOT of abuse. I drove one around with a severely cracked head (between cyl 5/6 and 3/4) and blown HG. It simply didn't care, kept going.

Find my build thread. It's exactly what you're trying to do.

slap the engine in with a proper clutch and turbo. Then TUNE. tune tune tune. There are plenty of stock b35s running boost reliably. I can't stress enough the importance of a tune. This is where 90% of the reliability for a turbo system comes from.

I'm sure I'll get flack for this, but don't worry about cam, bearings, head studs, etc. The b35 is a bullet proof engine. You'll make plenty of power with the stock setup. I would only change the timing chain guide rail and tensioner rail.

Didn't see clutch on your list of things to buy. You will deff need a strong clutch to handle the torque.

Schinken, thanks for the input right now I am still "trolling" using the search function using the word "budget" lol my main goal is to do it cheaply and reliably.

Rods are very strong on m30s, pistons too, I wouldn't worry about a s38 crank. Do new main and rod bearings Arp head studs. Vac makes a turbo cam for m30s that's supposed to be good, do IE heavy duty rockers, make sure the valve springs and valve seals are good, make the motor reliable then boost the crap out it

alright just take note that the engine you have was not built to take a turbo so just be warned. Lack of proper hardware and you will destroy that engine. My brother did that to his car and destroyed the engine.

I will say good luck though man. at least have the pistons, rods, and crank checked.
