So you have $3000 for everything listed ? if thats the case your going to spend about half of that at least picking up then engine and rebuilding it so its ready for a turbo. At the vary least. And S38 parts cost a little more than a pretty penny. the crank alone ive seen anywhere from 600-800.

My budget is 3000$
Also I possess a 1992 535i automatic motor from my brothers part out
I have the parts needed for manual conversion
and I am more about the necessities than "while i'm in there let me do this"

Here is what intrigued me:

Now, I was trolling among many threads I decided to compile a list to choose from.

I. MLS head gasket (u can get thicker ones to lower CR a bit, your engine should be in the 8's already)
ARP head stud kit
GT35 or GT40 turbo. Something similar will do. HX40 turbo?
External wastegate of some sort
Custom made exhaust manifold
II. Wilder or schrick camshaft with steel rockers adapted with KKK Turbo Manifold or M5 intake manifold or TCD RHD Manifold
III. After market stand alone ECU
IV. as for the Intercooler system, ill probably go with an "Air/Air"? and SQUEEZE it behind the kidneys
