Rubber or poly? That is the question

Not that it's an incredibly hot topic, but for the sake of statistical value, what engine, and transmission mounts did you guys use for you swap? Any Issues with past mounts?

    Lets hear it.

I would suggest going with Condor mounts, great product made by die hard enthusiasts.

So... only one opinion? Stock m20 mounts go out frequently.

change the stock ones periodically. a stiffer mount will add more vibrations which is not to everyones taste

Rubber motor mounts would have made it so my hood wouldn't clear the motor. So poly up front and stock for trans. I had poly for trans but it just got annoying. I would have done rubber all around if I could.

I used new stock rubber mounts. Never had issues.

Stock E28 mounts for my M50 swap, no issues. Had new mounts on my old M20, totally fine as well.

Yes, stock rubber e30 mounts for the engine and transmission.

I rode on poly engine and trans mounts for a while, the ride was good on smooth surfaces but it got rattly/vibrations when I got on rough surface, but not in a crazy way though it was not to my liking. I rode like that for a while but later changed everything to rubber mounts + CAB and TAB bushings. I went with Lemfoerder and meyle depending on pricing and this really set the ride to my liking. BTW it's just a DD.

I have stock new e30 rubber engine mounts & poly transmission mounts. The idea was to restrict fore / aft movement of the motor with the transmission mounts, but the NVH isn't great.

I'm probably going to go back to rubber transmission mounts too.

I like the IE bushings. They're very soft for poly.

The super hard red akg bushings is what i'm using now and it's too harsh
but it's a weekend car now.
