Another E30 M30 Swap Thread, this time with an 84 318i
I'd ditch the jb4 since you won't have the steering wheel controls to switch maps. If you're able to keep the obd2 port then I'd look into the mhd flasher or a Cobb.
Right on paul, oddly enough I have sold the jb4 unit in favor of the development with the free flasher software that is in the works, as long as knock tables are found by the time I want to modify my n54, I'll be golden!

Not yet I definitely have enough material for a really good starter thread.
I have pictures of the engine in the 08 335i, and taken out.
The 35-45lb ball of wiring has been modified, pinouts identified, and documented. I was able to find the correct diagrams, and removed all but about 5lbs of wiring that can be rolled up in a small beach towel. Electronic key, ews, cas, frm, fuse boxes, cluster, dash wiring harness w/ start button and key slot all there. I have the 6spd gs6-53bz with no clutch setup yet, and almost 3k to spend on other goodies for right now. Looking at clutch kits, turbos, and JB4..
Any questions about it feel free to PM me! I feel bad bumping this thread with non m30 related info :/ my fault.
Correct, simply put I just didn't have time between studying, and life. And the FS ad was simply a feeler until the messages started pouring in, I have 3 people interested now, but one has a high bid persay for now
The other reason is because the n54 swap is starting to take shape, and my interest has brought me to a point where I just want to focus on the n54
Haha, i said something along those lines too! These fellas have 4 e30s and just finished their 3rd m50 swap and one gentlemen in particular has an e30 M30 project he's boosting. I throughly believe these guys know what's going on with no doubt. None of them are forums members or show goers, just a few guys that dig the e30 platform.

Do to the massive amount of rain in California we are being called down for work. We are leaving Wednesday which means I needed to find a place to store my car.
Not only was I offered a place to store it, these fellas who have kindly offered such space have also offered to also finish the swap for me!
