Apparently it will fit, just have to run an oil return line from what I've read. Has anyone ever de-stroked an m30?

You can use the 2.8 80mm stroke crank. But to gain the full benefit de-stroking is higher revs like 8+k you would need after market rockers which are BIG $$$$ plus custom rods, pistons and cam.
It would be a wild engine for sure. My initial build was to use the 80mm crank (which I have)
but became to costly to build. My current junkyard B34 is doing quite well.

My original plan is sounding like a better idea. What made you use the m90 head?

I bought the whole engine/tranny package for $300 just to get the tranny, not knowing what an M90 was. So when the B34 head lifted and found out it was warped I just slapped the M90 head on since it was straight. true story...
            It's nothing special really it's still a B34 head.

              So let's get this straight...
to make an 3.7 m90 stroker

              I need
              -m90 block
              -b35 head and cam
              -b35 crank
              -m90 135mm rods

              ?

And what car can I find an m90 in? (In USA)

You can run m90 or air cooled 94mm pistons also. M90's came grey market e24's and some e12's. Can be identified by an L on the drivers side of the block.

I am grabbing an M90 block and head this weekend, this will be interesting.. stroker turbo.. hmm and I have an m30b35 of course..

Edit: From what I've researched, the blocks are quite dang durable, thats really what pulls my interest.

None, they're grey market only, no US models came with the m90.

I picked up a freshly rebuilt M30B34 for cheap the other day. It was bittersweet as the motor was out of a PRESTINE 535is that was rear ended, HARD. :( It has exactly 9,631 miles on the rebuild. The thing is beautiful inside and out. I also have 94mm flat top VW pistons out of a microbus and some B35 pistons and rods I got for free.

Not %100 sure where to go from here. I could just use the B34 head and port match it to a B35 manifold and run the VW pistons with the 86mm crank. I know the chamber on the B34 head is smaller than the B35. So would I get crazy high compression?
Should I just screw the B34 head and get a B35 head?

Or just ghetto turbo the low compression B34 and make 300hp using junkyard parts.....

                      its so tempting...
