If I where to go fi what should I look at for about 350hp?

I have been talking to my machine shop guy and he wanted to know weather I will be going fi or keeping it n/a. The more I read about this engine the more I love it. I have a m30 at the shop it's going to be punched out and new forged Paul burk pistons with a s38 itb system and it's getting a cop set up. All run on megasquirt. So if I wanted to go fi what psi should I look at? All my friends are saying just get a sti turbo and call it a day lol.

Do you mean how much psi is going to get you 350hp?
    Like 12 or something.

+1 12psi seems to be about right for that range.

Much easier/cheaper to get 350 FI'd HP than NA'd HP

i am talking bhp not whp

proper CR, proper headwork, cam, ITB tuned intake, tuned exhaust and standalone will do it. its actually a better proposition than a M5x, S5x IMO. The head will flow 260CFM when sorted which is about the same as a S50B32 largely due to the big bore and valves. There are a few stroker options to so you can have the torque that the 24V guys would only dream of.

They are great flowing heads. But n.a. you will never be satisfied with the power after spending that much money. Go for it. Good luck

he is already planning standalone with forged pistons, S38 throttle bodies so he is not far away. one of Paul Burkes CNC heads/ cam with a nice exhaust and GTG

The cars were powered by a range of inline 4-cylinder and inline 6-cylinder engines. The E30 BMW M3 was fitted with a high-revving 4-cylinder petrol engine (BMW S14) which produced 175 kW (238 PS; 235 hp) in its final European-only iteration.
