Sub'd. I just picked up an m90 and am tossing the idea around about a m30b35 crank, head and intake. Only problem is then the pistons and the CR for NA.

Love seeing all the work and details on here, and I highly respect the concept of it does what it does power wise.

Don't feel bad, the m20 pump went NLA about 3mos ago :(

Happy to see it's not in a corner of the garage and forgotten :)

is the gearset NLA as well? that's all you really need to replace..

(unless the pickup is trash, and the relief should be ok unless the motor has shat itself before)

Slow progress here but scored an oil pan. But the biggest hold up was the oil pump. As some may know BMW stopped making oil pumps for the B35. Replacement one's are north of $600 and they are not OEM and cheaply made. So I've been holding out and searching and this beauty popped up on eBay..!!!! Genuine BMW NOS oil pump for $500.
About five years ago this same pump was only $130.. total bullshit.

Glad to hear this. The performance difference between an engine happily pushing 970hp and one on the brink of destruction boasting 1,000hp is just not worth it. Let it eat, but don't gorge it.
