Alright, finally some updates...!
Checking crankshaft end play to seat the thrust bearing.
File fit top and 2nd ring
Check out the thickness of the wrist pins, heavy duty for sure.
Rings installed, rod bolts are ARP 2000.
Slugs going in hole, it pays to get a good ring compressor. Total seal rings have a certain install procedure. All is required is a light coating of WD-40 on the piston skirts, no oil on the rings or cylinder walls.
Bought these Clevite rods bearings a few years ago, that's right Nascar parts in this BMW..!!!
Checking rod bearing clearance with plastiguage.
All pistons installed.
Rod and mains torqued to 60ftlbs.
