It's tough to get a whole lot of work done when you're a parent lol
All coolant drained
Power steering drained
Air box out
Radiator out
Coolant tank out
gas feed/return lines done
Brake booster line removed
C101 plug done
What's left before pull
4 bolts at tranny/diff
2 bolts tranny support
2 bolts at engine
Exhaust manifold undo

my stepson is a single child, but requires non-stop attention, and I feel bad when it's just my wife that has to entertain 24/7...
@7 years old it's still tough.
oddly, these little jobs took longer than I had anticipated...
I can work in about 1 hour slots lol
tonight i'm going to remove the 2 tranny mount bolts and start the diff
Thursday exhaust manifolds.
Saturday/Sunday deal with A/C (still charged) and pull the whole lot...
I'm a little miffed at the mess I'm creating but it is what it is.Originally posted by flyboyxi have watched my dog lick himself off a few timesComment

update.
stuck at driveshaft vibration dampner.
I hate being under the car. Need to reposition and re-re car in air in order to hack away at the biatch.
will need to drop entire exhaust, heat shields in order to access center support bearing and lower at half shaft to be able to access bolts at guibo in order to separate DS from tranny.
a 5 minute job is turning into potentially a couple hours due to this stupid vibration dampner business.Originally posted by flyboyxi have watched my dog lick himself off a few timesComment

Update.
Self explanatory.
Engine/tranny/driveshaft and exhaust OUT!
I regretfully removed the entire wire harness throughout the process with the starter attached.
I'm going to try and re-install the wire harness back into the engine bay to the best of my ability.
I did not label anything tho...perhaps I'll just wait until I drop the new engine in and go from there...
Either way, tadaaaaa

Scratch that. From what I'm reading the m20 harness is just as good and a cleaner install.
As long as it reads 1.3 motonic I'm good.
Question:
My M20 harness just clipped off more of less. The b35 harness seems hardwired into the injectors. Am I missing something to undo or unclip to remove the full b35 harness?
Thx for you help fellas

Yes, you'll have to unclip and remove the whole m30 harness. What year is your m20 harness? Unless it has the individual leads for each injector, you'll have to do a bit of work to make things fit.Comment

Yea if just stick with the b35 harness if it's uncut and working. I'm running the b35 harnessComment

Corvallis my e30 is a 1990 m20b25 (manufacture date Oct 1989)
I uncliped each individual lead from each injector.
That one euro, my b35 harness is uncut and working completely fine.
I've read about fitment issues with it however...
I would much rather stick with the b35 harness TBh it seems a bit more logical.Originally posted by flyboyxi have watched my dog lick himself off a few timesComment
