Right Engine mount issues M30

Hey guys. This happened a couple months ago. Replaced mounts with swag rubber ones and the right one has started to give, however it hasn't moved in awhile. And left mount is fine. Old mounts were like this too, right mount was screwed. What do I need to do to avoid this? Is it melted by the heat or, as the guy at the local mount shop said, has it been destroyed by the torque of the engine? I need something stronger clearly, what mounts do you guys use???

Your lucky it didn't catch on fire...It may not be the problem butm I'm guessing all the mounts are suspect

Get a heat wrap around that exhaust manifold !

But how will I truly know what is causing it until I replace it? Maybe I'll heat wrap headers and mount and try to get a tougher mount?

Normally there is a heat shield between the headers and the mounts.
I can't see no heat shield between yours, perhaps this might be really the issue.

Be careful though, if those mounts give up, the engine can make a step sidewards and ruin your whole drivetrain.

I tossed my mani heat shields when I swapped my m30 into my e30.
this makes me want to dig them up.

Heat shields are a very good idea when dealing with rubber mounts. Always use them.

Also check to make sure the arm is the correct geometry, i.e. when you install a new mount do the holes/studs line up perfectly? If you have to pry or torque the rubber mount in to place on the arm, that's causing excess stress over and above the normal motor torque.
