m30+s38itbs

At the end of the monthI'm gonna buy a set of s38 itbs to put on my m30b34. Im wondering what everyone thinks is best to run with them. Im for sure doing megasquirt with wide band, wasted spark, headers, and maybe a 284 shrick cam. Should this setup wake up the ol m30 pretty well. BTW i will be removing powersteering and the booster becuase i want to.

ITB's will wake the hell out that M30, throttle response will be nice and crisp.
You will deff need a vacuum canister/block to tie in each intake to tune it properly with the MS.

Ordering them at end of the month! So I'll need to either run the canister or not run it and block the ports for it out? Can i use the canister i use for my 1.3 motronic setup? Would rather block it out.

I had better luck tuning Alpha-N in the MS with ITB's. Was getting wacky readings at the MAP, stuck a vacuum gauge on it and the needle bounced from about 10" to 0 pretty erratically, and with only 10-ish" of vacuum you will only be reading ~80-100kpa.

I have read that people use a vacuum ball or buffers inline to help with the pulses, but have never tried it.

Teaching my self to tune is gonna suck haha. I cant wait though.

Also whats everyone thoughts on port matching the adapters? I was told I could just die grind my head to match and sand smooth is this true? Is it really needed?

It's not that bad. Will take some trial and error with AE and spark tables.
