    Alternate engine swap options?

Hi guys, new to the group here. Don't beat me up too bad. My question is are there any other possible engine swap options not listed here? A 2.3 sohc Ford Ranger 4 banger as an example. What is ultimately the smoothest up swap for a 325es M20B27?

I'm not biased on staying with the brand and small block Chevy/ Ford combos are what I'm seeing mainly. Certainly out of the thousands of engines out there, the handful listed here isn't the extent of possibilities.

Hence why I said 2GR-FE. As far as I'm aware, it's never been done before but it needs to be.

3.5 litre V6, roller rockers, 6 bolt mains, 163kg service weight and that good ol Toyota reliability. Easy 200rwkw with a decent exhaust and tune.

Right, I gotcha . I was just adding to my initial post. I've had several Toyota Tacomas and minus the POS Rav 4 my wife had to have, they've been super reliable.

Mazda 13b! small package, would put the engine right behind the axles (mid engine) and would make the same power as a turbo m20 safely.

They get a bad rap, but as long as your not wringing it out to 9k everyday or trying to make over 450+ hp out of its 1.3 liters they'll last plenty long.

Whatever you go with don't forget to get a Gallo 24 with it. Goes great with any engine.

1uzfe is a very quick revving, reliable, and beautifully sounding engine.

Gallo 12 is better for handling though as it's much lighter.

I've got a B234 turbo, later model style with direct ignition if you're interested. I did a trial fit in an E30 though and it definitely needs a modded sump.

Oof! That Gallo engine seems to be not very common even in the US equivalent. Mitsubishi Montero?

Nah - happy with the M30 - too reliable to mess with too much - just thinking it was a swap that hadn't been done & would likely be reliable :)

Would have gone ahead had Detroit not stepped in (as always).

Yamaha OX66. Don't ask me how to make it work though.
