Do I need a new distributor? (pictures...56k boo ya)

Here are a couple vague pics of my distributor. Do you think it's time to replace it? It looks really clean inside, but If i dont replace it now while it's out, then it's going to be a bitch to do another time.

    What do you guys think?

The electrodes look pretty burnt, but it's hard to tell in the pics. If there is any wear on the contacts, replace it. It's money well spent.

looks pretty worn, i'd replace it, i mean you've got it apart it's only like a 20 dollar part.

LOL, not a $20 part for the M20/M30...
But yeah, they do look well used already. DEFINATELY replace it while it is out. You should be able to get your hands on a cap and rotor for around $75.
If you are having trouble getting them for less than that, give me a ring.

        cheers

Hahahaha. Try 70-90. It's one of those BMW ignition parts that's made out of gold.

I would say it looks well used, and needs to be replaced.

i would replace it too but there will be barely any noticeable difference it would just be for prevenative maintenance purposes its not completly RS yet IMO.
If the funding doesn't permit (life of a e30 owner) then you could get away without doing it for a while and the car will run fine.
