Hey, I'm new here, but not new to the M30. I have a M30B35 (I drive an E34) with a MAF conversion. My dyno results were 196whp/218whtq. Dyno graph is http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...d.php?t=686399 Anyways, I thought you might find it helpful and I'll be lurking around the boards to see what other knowledge I can soak up.

May I offer my 2-cents of advice?
M30's are *not* about pure HP numbers (espically in a e30) - It's all about the feeling of getting thrown you back in the seat. It's the TQ that makes it an awesome combination to a e30.
You'd have to drive one to know it...few have.
Remember guys - HP makes you a F1 car, TQ makes you leave the traffic in the dust at the stop light.
A M30 is NOT a S14, nope! And its not just a bigger m20 - wrong again!
It is a m30. Legenday in the BMW world (just ask an oldtimer). Smooth reving, big inline six. Tq curve that looks like a picnic table, and plenty of Hp to boot(or boost...LOL)
300k mile motor(if not more), tons and tons of TQ - and is very happy getting redlined all day long. I'm sorry? But, can you ask for more?
Again, I've had a e30m30 longer than anyone I know on any fourm - so maybe that add a bit of weight to my advice. But my 2 cents anyways...
HTH...
