What are you running?-e34-335-Jim C chip

What do you recommend?Jim C chip

What kind of improvements does it make?-it runs the motor little rich and 7000 RPM's if you do some work on the intake side and hold on.

I don't know if this qualifies as a 'chip' per se....

I'm running an SMT7 piggyback on my 335i, and I noticed that pushing an 8 degree advance over stock across the board REALLY helps accelleration, and I also noticed that the m30 gets a little lean upwards of about 5000rpm, so adding fuel at that point gives noticeable gains.

I'm not sure who this helped LOL.

I had those... Bosch Type III. Really great injectors for only $60 bucks...

What are you running? 30lb injectors

What do you recommend? 19lb for N/A M30 Bosch type III

What kind of improvements does it make? my 30lb injectors are good for 300hp, but I had to turn back my AFM about 25 clicks tighter (leaner).

For a N/A M30, I would do no more than 19lb injectors, unless you are doing free flow exhaust, KN air filter and MAF, you won't notice much of a difference with just the injectors and a chip (unless maybe you want to do a markD chip, which would work BEST anyway with intake/exhaust/cams..etc)

I'm still sourcing parts for my M30 swap (almost done atleast), Im going to run a 059 ecu from a e28 535i w a dinan chip in it (have that already), w e34 M5 3.6 euro headers, no cat and a k/n cone filter w a fabricated cold intake. I have 19lbs inj(w new orings) from a 302 mustang i was going to put on the m20 but i might just save them for the m30. what do ya'll think

I think you got a pretty nice setup. 19# may have been too much for the M20... good choice going with the M30

Hmmmm...Not a ton of info here I see

Mye28 and bmwe34.net might have the answers I'm looking for.

Looking for a tried and true set up for the m30b35 - and what it really delievers.

                  ...

has anyone tried the mark-D chips and compared it to the jim C chips?

Is there a dyno sheet comparing the various chips like there is for an m20?

Spunky, M5 headers won't fit an M30, the flanges are quite different since the M5 has a 4 valve per cylinder head.

those I.E headers do look pretty good. Im already commited to buying the M5 headers I guess I could turn around clean em up a lil bit and put them back online to sale.

If you know a good welder you may be able to have new flanges made to fit your m30... Maybe?
