M10, S14, M30
Then,
M20, M42, M50, S52, etc.

I dont consider the M20 and M50 to have the *same* bellhousings.
They are very close, and arguably compatible, but it is approximately 10 degrees off.
Fair enough. Anything's compatible if you know what your doing :).
For instance, there was a guy selling an White E30 M3 with an OBD-I converted S52, which had a Getrag 265 CR Dog-Leg Boxa mated too it. Something about a one off adapter was made to use it. He posts on mye28 now and then, since he has a 94 540i motor and 6-speed tranny in his 535i :D.

The B35 with the correct electronics picks up it's signal from the front of the motor on the balancer, whereas the B34 and all other Motronic versions leading up to the B35 pick up the signal at the flywheel from the two sensors that fit in the bellhousing.
