who has taken a roadtrip or say driven their e30m30 over 500 miles in 1 trip? How did it perform? Did any problems develop? If so, what sort of problems. I'm just curious b/c i like to take atleast a roadtrip or 2 in my e30 and im just wondering about the driveability on a long run. I know factors like motor condition and what not matter. Let's just say everything is fine w the motor, drivetrain. How'd yours do?

The M30 loves the highway with the correct differential. Assuming the install went properly, I bet the M30 powered E30s are absolute joys on the open road... Unless you are running the stiffest GC setup available for no good reason'88 528e /// '88 M5 /// '89 951 /// '98 E430 /// '02 M5Comment

"chirp" a m10? Really???? What at 6k in second - drop the clutch - with 185/65-14 dried up "pep-boys" tires? LOL...anyone can do that....
Last road trip I did went from 2000 elevation to 5000 feet elevation inside of 2 miles. It's so fun with a m30 to gun it and pull away from cars going up hill. M30 make a great road warrior if you don't mind the gas bill (less then a e28 mind you)...
...HTH

i know its been asked before but i feel its relevant... what kinda mileage are you looking at in an e30m30?Originally posted by ebelementsAlso, for those who don't know, negative camber is the greatest thing since sliced bread(panera). Even tire wear is for city busses and the elderly.Comment

M30's have soo much power even in 5th on the highway, there really is no need to downshift unless your racing an STi. I drive an hour and back to school about every day or 2 never had a problem.'86 E30
