Yea, I am looking at about $100. Maybe alittle bit less then $100

    This is for:
    2 bottles of Jelly
2 Cans of High heat dupilcolor paint
    3M Degreaser/wax remover
    Oven Cleaner...FREE (ask your parents)
    Gloves
    Brushes (paint/wire)
..I know I am missing stuff.

I think of it this way, if I can get my motor looking half as good as yours, its $100 well spent.

I also am running out of time, so for $160 my BMW mechanic is going to put the motor back together, hook all the wiring back up, so I can plug her into the car.

I dropped closer to $150 I think. But I had a lot of different paint for different parts and got the "good" stuff from eastwood.

BTW - keep break cleaner away from your motor after you paint it. I haven't, but if you did, it would just ruin the paint.

Do yourself a favor, look nerdy and wear some eye protection. Hell, wear a rubber just in case...

haha, I am going to be wearing eye protection and thick rubber gloves. Will wear a rubber and post pics..maybe me and Kate can get together and take pics...ehh..bad image in my head now.

Yea, you probably spent a lot more then me. I am not going to paint, might change my mind tomorrow, the timing chain covers and stuff. The head is hopefully getting milled/cleaned tomorrow so I won't have to paint that.

I will be painting the valve cover like yours (black w/ the silver ribs) but will also be painted the intake manifold to match. So its basically going to be a "murda'd" out e30.
Black paint, black wheels, black motor, black interior, should be fun.

License plate is going to read " dshitbox". I asked the DMV told them it is "dsh" "it" "box", we have a restaurant called "Lets Dish" and said I worked there. haha Hopefully when the time comes I will still be approved.

Alright, just got done with the first side of the block, I am doing 1 at a time. I am done with the jelly. Now I can see all the numbers, tags and all very clearly. The block is still black though, which I am pretty sure it should be, and still very rough but doesn't look to be rusty.

Also Jelly works WONDERS on floorboards.
