Sorry, yes. another stock subframe. But I have a small part of me that wants to get it reinforced. I've already had a rear subframe redone with the toe/camber kit, might as well make them match, huh? Maybe not.

p.s. Thanks for posting your thread, too.

I also lowered the car onto the new engine/tranny attached to the subframe etc...way easier.

    Yeah, it motivates me to:
    1) do my swap already
    2) take pictures of EVERYTHING.

I'm pretty sure I have everything, just need to document the hell out of it for you guys.
I'm building a new subframe, and will just drop the whole front assembly from the car, transfer the struts to the new subframe, and drop the car on there and bolt/wire it up!

Even more so now that Jared Squires site no longer exists.

If anyone got anything to add about the m30b35 intake manifold differences in terms of vacuum line connections that would be great.

It seems that some manifolds have TWO small nipples on the bottom of the manifold and some only have ONE.

    Example - my b35 manifold from a 91 b35 is here

Thread I found on BFC e34 section, shows manifold with TWO nipples on the bottom.

I've been trying to figure out how that works...

This is hugely helpful. The most mechanically intensive thing I've done before this swap is a new head gasket on my 86 eta... I have a number of friends helping me with this swap (one of whom has done an m30 and the other has done more swaps than i can remember) but this makes me feel like i'll actually be able to understand and contribute to what's going on.

    thanks!

Wicked thread man. I want to do the same for the M50 into the 318is, when I get the time I'm going to.

    +1 on the sticky.

R3vlimited mods must be anti m30 to
not give this a sticky. :)
