Hey Frank, this swap DIY is a lifesaver. I've got a question: Ive got an 87 325is, got an m30b35 swap from an e34 535i. Do you know if I need to do anything specific with the o2 sensor? Can is running a bit rich and spitting some fuel, fuel/ignition is good.

Would you happen to know where I can get a position 3 used set?

    Guys,

I've decided to make my own writeup, which is more comprehensive than the one posted here. It has much more information relative to the electrical system and cooling system woes.

So far, it's 45 pages long. It includes schematics, pictures, references to websites, part numbers...etc.

It's going to be a *.pdf format and will be mailed via CD.

There are so many different ways to skin a cat, so this is the way that I did the swap, so let's not be too critical of a "better" way to do it.

I plan to sell a CD of the following:

    1. E30-M30 swap complete writeup
    2. *.pdf of actual electonic troubleshooting manual of YOUR model E30
    3. *.pdf of actual electronic troubleshooting manual of the M30 car from which you are swapping

Seems like the demand is there. I'll always be on the forums (and please call if needed) for additional support.

Rev - (dash) of the E30-M30 swap CD including all above will cost $10 and can be paid via paypal.

I'll publish the announcement by this weekend.

B34 or B35? B34 means cutting and converting the wiring. If you have more questions I suggest making your own thread.
