This website is for sale! ee1394.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, ee1394.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

Dunno if this will help, and im not after your money but I'm using this (but I'm going through the harness myself and double checking using this website)

Google what you want and spend some time going through the shit, you will more than likely find the pin outs and wiring colours in PDF format. Thats what I did with these two websites (though I'm after a 1989 e34 535 wiring diagram and 1984 e30 323i diagram):
        http://shark.armchair.mb.ca/~dave/BMW/e30/e30_83.pdf - e30

that may be a bit of a pain...I don't know if the 85 e30 had the motronic 1.0 or 1.1 system...the e24 probably has the 1.1...and w the e24 being an auto harness you are going to have a bit of wiring to remove...so save yourself a headache u may wanna try to find an 87 325i manual harness..that is the route I'm going. then you'd only have to lengthen a couple wires instead of rewiring it all up.

according to E30.de both re motronic 1.0 but the 325e is basic and the 635csi is advanced

Are you talking about the C103 / C104? Generally 3,4, or 5 wires right near the ECU? Other than those you shouldn't need to touch anything else near the ECU, all of the splicing happens at the fuse box connection - C101.

Last weekend I swapped an '85 chassis wiring harness and fuse box into my '83 635CSi euro with the early motronic (early 325e, 528e, 533i equivalent) and to get it started I had to jump the center terminal of the main relay to the positive terminal on the coil. I had to do that because my engine harness has 3 wires and the chassis harness has 4. Keep that in mind when you are doing your wiring... At the very least it will allow you to get it fired up and start sorting things out.

If it's 3-wire connector (yellow - consumption, black - tacho, green - power for ECU). Some models have only two wires (i think only in facelifts, they've something to do with air conditioning).

In M30, the ECU power goes through engine wiring harness, not directly to the ECU as in M20. No idea how to get consumption-gauge to work. Tacho is direct plug'n'play.
