How to Correctly Wire an Electric Fan?

I just received my fan in the mail today...I'd like to put it in but am a little cautious as I'm no wiring expert. In fact I suck at it.

Can someone guide a wiring retard through this? Do I need a relay for this? It only draws 12 amps...learn me please :)

I wired one with a switch in my 2002 straight up when I first installed it...but you always run the risk of shorting out the battery if you don't fuse it.

You can install a relay if you want to run it into the cabin, but the real need for a relay most of the time is just so you can run less current(and smaller wires) into the cabin.

I would just hook it up with either an inline fuse or utilize an empty socket in the fuse box(much better looking) and run a fuse slightly above the standard draw, i.e. 15 amp. Just IMO...
