    Not getting fuel

My fuel pump and relay aren't turning on. The car cranks and I have spark, fuel lines are hooked up correctly. What is up? The fuel pump worked fine in the car before.

Also, does anyone have the e34 pinouts so I can check my wiring?

If you bridge pins 87 and 30 on the fuel pump relay socket can you hear the pump running? In my E34 M30 it was a yellow relay near DME.

Also check fuses... simple but could be a problem. There are multiple ones that affect the fuel pump.

Ok- getting fuel now, but I don't think the injectors are clicking. Also, car now has no spark; I don't think it did earlier though. I have power to the coil. ICV is whirring.

Check crankshaft position sensor and associated wiring.

Sorry to ask but do you have coil wired up correctly?

I was over helping byron last night, i'm fairly sure its wired correctly.. the black/orange gets grounded and the green and black wires go to the coil (i forget what was pos/neg but the spades are different sizes so it only fit one way)

I had those connected, but Joe said they wouldn't work with the e34 harness/computer I am using. I connected the e34 cps today and tried it in both plugs, and it didn't work in either. What is supposed to go into the other plug, and which one is the cps supposed to go into?

I am using a m20 tps too, would that matter?

Just to be sure - you're using an M30 from an auto E32, and putting it in an 86 325e chassis correct? Are you using the M20 or the M30 harness?

Mine was from an 89 E34 auto and was put in an 88 325i so there are some differences between our installs. From what I've read most issues seem to revolve around the wiring at C101 plug (not sure if your 86 even has that). Double check that you've done everything you need to there. I think the E32 Auto has a neutral switch, do you need to do anything with that wire?

I do not think you can use the m20 tps. They have almost 90* difference in positioning.

Make sure your DME is completely plugged in. Make sure injectors are wired correctly. Make sure your crank sensor is wired correctly. Those sound like a few places to start

Woo hoo! My fuel lines were backwards. Why does the return side of the rail get the filter?

you want the gas to be filtered before it hit the injectors don't you???

The line from the filter had to be hooked up to the rearward line on the fuel rail in order to run. Isn't that the return side of the rail?
