Just finished working on it for a bit for the day, getting it wired in. Hoping to learn to tune once it gets running, kinda learning as we go, enjoying the process. But that's for another thread...

Joe, when's new motor go in? Stoked to see it back together again.

Keep in mind Joe has his own calender and clock.

Does not seem to sync with the normal world at all.

The new motor won't be in for a while, we have plenty of prep to do in the engine bay, reinforcments, etc. However I'm sure we'll be pretty eager to get in a quick test-fit once the motor is fully together.

I made that motor work for all it was made for. We gave it a final rest. The b35 head will find a new home, and we needed the oil pan and accessories.

If you are looking for a b35 motor for the swap, I have 4 available.

are you gonna do a twin m20 TB setup like that one guy had on his m30? that would be cool for turbo setup, lots of breath!

For now the plans are to use the factory manifold, though I suppose I do have a set of ITBs from an S38b36 ;)

Definitely. Send me a PM or feel free to give me a ring tomorrow - 503-233-8726. We are just starting a project on Thursday, so it would be the first week of December before I could get started on an M30 swap. Would not be a bad idea to get process started though, I have only 2 motors with b35 pans.

Yeah, that was pretty gnarly. I wonder where 3rd will be when I find my 3.07 or 2.93 diff. :)

Geeez. More and more I think about the M30.

Especially after driving my beater while the E30 was in the shop, having torque on demand is nice.

My car with my 2.93 diff did 100 without even getting close to redline back when it was running. I have a 4cyl tach in (not on purpose) and I was somewhere near 6k on it.

Are you using the same transmission?
