Then you don't have first hand knowledge.

On an M30 car, yes, you will be fine going around the track, but that motor is going to be REALLY REALLY hot when you start driving back to your tent/tools.

      Add heatsoak.

Drive back to the cue in 30 min, and I bet you overheat without a fan.

ESPECIALLY in a hotter climate such as AZ or Socal.

Oh yea, and the 24v is arguably a better motor/platform. Until you factor in cost of course, where it embarrassingly fails. For anyone on any sort of a budget, the M30 swap cannot be beat. If you have unlimited allowance, go 24v.

just because I didn't put a m30 into MY e30 doesn't mean I don't have first hand experience w/ them in their original bodies or e30's. Just because you have a small time chop shop doesn't mean you know everything :giggle:

but anyway you know what they say about arguing over the interwebz....

I never once claimed to know everything. I do know that you WILL have cooling issues if you don't have an electric fan on an M30d E30. It is not even debatable.

Small time chop shop? It is a real shame to know 75% of my customers on a first-name basis.
Small? Yes. Chop shop? Sure. Schwateva.
