Here you go. I am newish to this forum, but take this info from someone who builds race cars. Don't go dicking with modifying cast aluminum. Yea you can weld it but anyone who knows about welding aluminum is aware that it warps like a bi***. Drysump is the way to go if you've got it in your budget. Lower oil temps, more capacity...yadda yadda. I have an m42 and have gone through my share of pans. If you live in Long Beach, CA you know what I mean hahaha
