A moist green pad will work wonders for removing that cosmoline.

Also putting the plastic covers behind the headlights helps to keep the engine bay clean. :)

Looks like a standard 20" puller fan. More than likely wired to a toggle. But it is possible it's wired to a temp sensor and resistor. I wouldn't trust a temp sensor setup though.
damn let me say you should remove the air intake and washer fluid reservoir then soak it in a degreaser for hours then pressure wash it very close to the paint then when done clean it by hand and then it will look factory fresh cus... it still looks the same to mee
