    Gas Pedal barrier?

    SO lately when driving around.

my gas pedal will get stuck... it feels as if my pedal has a barrier and i can only get through or bypass it when i stomp on the pedal and this causes the car to jolt forward.. not comfortable nor safe... the barrier seems like it only lets me rev the engine to about 3.5k rpm's and wont go any higher unless i let off the pedal completely and get back on or like i said before "stomp" on it to pass through this barrier.

Ive tried to take a look at the pedal linkage, but haven't had time to take apart my kick panel and noticed that while the car is off (engine off) the pedal can be pressed/depressed fully and with no obstruction, Does anyone know of any similar occurrences? or any ideas?

    Thanks for your help

Had same problem it was fixed by cleaning the throttle body but it still happens say once every 3 months on a cold day so I think their is something worn out on my 250k throttle body...

I'd give it a scrub and report back
