6500 rpms is at 55mph. 7000rpms is at 60. so yes, a chip can allow me to hit 60, but not change my diff. i love the 4:10, wish i could go with a lower diff gear sometimes though.

You're at 55mph at 6900prm as predicted by the gear ratio calculator. You'll need 7500rpm to get to 60 with a 4.10 diff. Good luck with that.

5th would be more usable. there's tons of rolling hills around here. maybe i just need a new motor lolz. :) the m42 is about as gutless as a empty tin can. but its tons of fun past 4500rpms, but you cant drive it balls out ALL the time.. sometimes down shifting to 4th for a long hill is annoying, you dont have to either though, but you gotta stick the gas pedal halfway to the floor and to lug all the way up it if ya wanna do a hill in 5th.
