whats a e36 m42 head go for these days.....just curious
I can't imagine anyone paying anything for an M42 head with damage. Entire M42 *engines* go for just a few hundred dollars (I bought mine for $300) and the ballpark quote I got on repairing the head after the chain slipped and the valves bent was $500.

Yea, I didn't think I was going to get more than what Pull-A-Part offered me as a core charge ($5) lol, I still have the head here if anybody wants it!

I figured while I had the motor torn down, I am going to do A/C delete & P/S delete. This project just wants to keep going lol.

Got the lower cover off to find the right hand side chain guide was in about 6-12 pieces so I have to order one tomorrow. Got the a/c pump out and am working on making a cam locker tool to hold shit in place while I time the bish. Well I guess it's a labor of love, right?

Yea, I was at the White Horse Road one. They have a little bit of a selection for us, not too bad.

Yea, weekends 8-5 and weekdays 9-5. I am going there tomorrow if you need me to look around for anything.

Also, what modifications do I have to do properly run the E36 M42 head on the E30 block? I've noticed some differences but nothing really came up online when I searched.

If i'm not mistaken there was a thread on here about it.... I dont believe there is any modifications absolutely necessary...
