    Crazy surging problem

So I took off my intake and valve cover to be powdercoated. I replaced all hose lines and used new hose clamps. I got it all back together today and the first time I started it, it surged to 5k rpms then back to idle and then back to 5k. Did this a few times then slowly dropped to 4k. Turned the car off for 5 minutes and scratched my head a little and then made sure I didnt forget to attatch any sensors or anything. Started it back up and now its surging to around 2k and back to idle. I let it sit for a few minutes doing this, hoping that it might fix itself lol but to no avail. Ideas?
