m42, e36, e34 pumps work like that because they go into the motor a lot more then an m20 style pump

Also can you turn the water pump? If so you can use any of the four holes for a jack screw?

well where it sits, when you turn and if you do, it wont be seated for the bolt to push on, and just go in the hole way...

once he does this and removes it, he will fill silly, when he sees it took 2 min extra lol

          I don't think the other
          Holes are threaded and also
          Not enough room
To spin enough to clear the holes that it originally mounts to

I mean the 3 of the 4 corner mounting holes are threaded the same as the 12 & 6 o'clock holes. Since both the 12 & 6 o'clocks holes are busted, if you can turn the water pump so that the upper right and lower left hole will not be facing the hole. Then use the bolt to push it out but you have to turn both evenly. Sorry if i cant explain it better in words

LOL I had this problem. It is one stuck motherfucker, I took at it with a small sledgehammer those ones that fit in you hand. Basically just keep pounding at different angles, it took me laterally 2 hours of pounding that bitch (something I am used to) to break her apart and pull her out. I will put some picture up tonight when I get home of the water pump aftermath.

                        Ug. Good times.

Houston, that’s a no-go on threading bolts back in..

Since I was taking the lower, rear case off anyway – I propped it up on 4x4s and tapped the f’er out with a sledge and wooden dowel from ‘behind’.

                            dunno really..
It did work - but it also had plastic impeller.
Mostly, I just feel a lot better about putting a new one in.

Wanted to share how I got it out just to show another removal option.

I broke all the ears off of mine too. My Dad and I made a jig to pop it out by the pulley.
