    M42 Clutch (LUK KIT)

I'm going to be doing my clutch soon and was wondering if anyone has ever replaced their clutch with a LUK kit. The Sach's is $202.94 and this LUK kit is $105.98. Does anyone have any experience with this clutch kit?

Let me explain too, that my M42 is not a good car. It lives on the street like a homeless prostitute and its body has been hit more times than, well a homeless prostitute. This isn't a cream puff 318is that is worth putting good parts on. This a boring 4 door 318i beater that I love to hate. Its just a simple beater to get me to and from work. This car has lived a hard life and will make someone a great parts car in about a year when I'm finally done killing it. However, I still need to get to work and the clutch blows right now. With that in mind, what is the opinion of R3V.

    Thanks!

well, LUK is the OE for the S54 clutch. so I'd say it's probably good enough for an M42 with 120ft/lbs of fury. :p

Be the guinea pig, try it out.

You probably aren't interested, but now would be a good time to swap to a lighter flywheel like one from a euro M42 or swap in an M20 one.

Yeah... I'm not doing more than the bare minimum for this car. I'll take one for the team and try out the discount clutch this winter. Thanks for the advice guys!
