need to clear up some clutch confusion.

Ok, so I was dead set on getting the clutch setup linked below for my turbo car but after talking with a clutchnet rep he told me that the pressure plate would not bolt up to my s50 flywheel. Keep in mind I am running a g240 trans so the pressure plate has to fit inside the bell housing.

Now im confused. WTF do I use. Can someone clear this up for me? I know I can run m20 clutch with m20 fly ect ect but is there a difference in flywheels if im using a lightened s50 fly?

Is it true that any m5x s5x clutch pressure plate will NOT fit inside a g240 trans?

    post some answers. anything helps

My understanding is that it doesn't fit. I looked into that and also the E34 M5 flywheel setup, and that seemed to be the consensus. Apparently the e36 transmissions have a little more room in the bellhousing casting than the G240. The M20 setup is physically smaller than the m/s50/2 stuff. For whatever it's worth, I'm running an M20 clutch and flywheel with the starter mod, and the FW has been lightened to 13 lbs and it's been great for me, though you are running a lot more power.

IMPORTANT EDIT: apparently I'm wrong. I never could find anyone who actually tried it.

if the M/S50 stuff doesn't work, you can always try the sachs HD pressure plate that all the S14 guys use w/an M20 flywheel.
