Last change I splurged for my baby and got LiquiMoly Full Synth 5w40 I believe, she seems to be loving it but after doing some research I'm going to be switching to Castrol GTX 10w30, perfect amount of zinc for good protection and overall good stats.

I found a site the other day showing a bunch of different popular motor oils and all their statistics, the guy had looked up or contacted all the different companies for a list of their oils most important properties. If I find the site again I'll post it.

Anyhow Castrol GTX 10w30 did above average in all categories and had a perfect zinc level.

          FWIW
          Different strokes for different folks.

castrol 10w-30 is what my m42 likes, mine doesnt do well with 10w-40 or 20w-50 which is what people tell me i should put

20w-50 is for m20's. It's way too thick for an m42. I believe the factory spec is 10w40 but like everyone said, some may work better. I'll hopefully buy some oil for the m42 later today.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

We're talking about what you put in your engine, not what you rub on your ginger.
