    The oil viscosity chart in your owner's manual will tell you which oil you should run based on the ambient temperatures the engine will be exposed to, which is particularly important for you being in Minnesota.

      10w40 mobil 1 synthetic sseems to be working fine for me. 15w40 during the really hot months usually

          I just picked up 6L of Pentosin Pentosynth High II 5w-40 and a new Mann filter.

          I was going to try Shell Rotella T6, but I've used the Pento High before and had good results. We'll see how the m42 likes it.

          210K on the odo, and Minnesota summer climate.

          Oh...I'm also replacing the filter housing gasket and o-ring.
