    Cross Flow connector?

Was told a car I'm looking at has one of these. Never have I heard the terminology. Early 93 model e36 318is.

    So I'm asking.

I think that they are referring to the dual-track intake manifold. It is called the DISA manifold (forget what it stands for). There is a solenoid or motor or something that controls a flap that switches between the two tracks, and that's presumably the connector you were told about.

It's a coolant line off the back of the cylinder head.

Aaaah. There was a retrofit to the hoses going to the heater core that added a small thermostat and bypass. I thought it was standard on the E36.
