Sound of stock 318i revs and exhaust

For comparison, comments, whatever... here is the sound my car makes. 1991 318i sedan. I bought it recently, it is stock, and with mostly all old, original equipment (original exhaust, now 21 years old). I have no idea how the car "should" sound stock, but as I rev it fairly high, I am told I can be heard well before arriving, and well after leaving!

How does my engine sound to your more experienced M42 ears?

That's good to know. I'm a little wigged out about not knowing if/when the timing chain was replaced. Or if the tensioner was updated.

Would lack of visible wear on the teeth mean that the chain is ok? Or is it just common for it to be changed anyway (current mileage 189,000)?
