Does anybody know if BMW changed the crank thrust bearing at any point in the m42 production to make them better? I'm looking at an m42 out of a 1994, wondering if that would have the same thrust bearing problem as the older ones?

im pretty sure all m42s have a 180 thrust bearing which is the shitty one.
360s can be installed into any m42 -
With the dual mass fly wheel the thrust bearing takes a beating on the M42.
