Duh me, I read that and forgot. Also the coil numbers may be incorrect, as those are for the M42 coils.

i doubt this is the issue considering the car ran fine before. Banking on possible crank sensor shitting out. Weird things happen when they start malfunctioning. Cam sensor too.

my car had a similar issue except a lot worse, I replaced all the vac lines and icv to no avail. So got it smoke tested, turns out there was an small intermittent leak in the top intake manifold gasket. Not sure if this helps, but i would suggest checking the gasket out as it seems be due to the cold weather.
          good luck.

Coils aren't the issue........vac reading at idle is 17.5.......takes a huge dump with any accel......ideas

Well, vac leak, either something is expanding, one of your plastic connectors is cracked, the plug in the intake boot is coming out/intake boot is cracked in an odd place, intake manifold gasket is dying, or the FPR hose has come off.

So, was timing off, or was the entire crank pulley just coming off, causing a bad crank position sensor read? If the latter I suppose proper torquing is important.

Glad you have found the problem!
