    Squealing.

In the mornings or when the car is cold my m42 will squeal horribly in first until about 3.5 when i shift. It only does it once and it is incredibly loud.

Idler pulley or something of that nature?

Mine did that. Loose alternator belt was all it was.

If the squealing persists after adjusting belts I would suspect the A/C compressors clutch.

All set with the squealing. Multiple start ups and cold mornings and it's gone away. I love the adjustment system on these and m20 alternators.
