Mess under the intake: hose lengths

I'm about to tackle the mess under my intake but want to make sure I have enough hose, my e30 is my daily driver so it would suck if I didn't have enough and had to bus around to find more hose.

Any idea on lengths for these hoses?

    5/8” Coolant Hose?
    5/16” Fuel Hose?
    19/32” Vacuum Hose?

you can actually chop up and use the existing stuff thats already under there. You dont really have to buy anything

While it is true that you can delete the heater plates (looping the ports between water pipe and head) and creatively reroute existing hoses to eliminate the troublesome multi-part vacuum connectors I believe your best bet is to buy new for peace of mind (unless you plan to be under the intake frequently which doesn't happen much on my DD anymore).

For coolant hoses, best bet is to cut up existing hoses so as to mock up the odd turn and two different outlet sizes and go to a friendly auto parts store that will either find you a hose in stock that matches what you needed to do, or will just let you look yourself. IIRC I found one that was supposed to fit an Altima of some sort and it worked perfectly once cut down.

For fuel hose all you really need is 6" or so for the hard lines to rail cross over. But it's a great time to order more so you can fix the leak you will get in future above the fuel filter (I suggest getting 8' total if you can).

For vacuum hose 3 or 4' (depending on where you want to put the ICV) of either actual vac hose in that size (impossible to find locally in MD) or get the same amount of reinforced coolant hose. In my area Pep Boys carries it at a cut your own length box.
