    M42 Oil Pan Question

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what number two on the picture is and what it does. I was changing my lower oil pan gasket and what looks to be number 2 on the picture was hanging out at the bottom of my pan when I took it off.

The #2 on that diagram is the stud that locks the PS tensioner in place.

Check your oil pickup tube fasteners and the fasteners that attach the upper pan to the front cover. Both are common to vibrate loose.

Might be a dumb question but where should I be looking for the fastener that attaches the upper pan to the front cover?
