My 318is has a cold start issue that I am trying to sort. When the car is cold and it's started it won't hold an idle. I have to keep the throttle pressed for a minute or two until it's warmed up. If I let off the throttle before it's warmed up it will just die out. Now once it's warmed up a little it runs/drives and idles great! Has anyone else experienced this?

I once had an issue similar to this. It will only occur when u first start the vehicle after cooling down/not running for awhile.
There is a small plug located behind the plastic harness wire housing along the firewall. It's used/plugged in only for aftermarket cat converters I believe. Anyway...not sure if this is your issue.... Might be worth a try/look. It should NOT be plugged in w stock cat91 318is...DD:finger:/85 325es SOLD/91 318is RIP
