    Help trace oil leak

Im getting some oil puddle that builds up above the plate the holds the alternator. Im trying to trace the leak but am having trouble. I already replaced the oil filter housing gasket twice so I'm hoping it is not that. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

Oil filter housing gasket or oil pressure sender o ring... Did you replace the o rings when you replaced the gasket?

You might also check the sensor itself. The plastic can crack allowing oil to seep out of the bottom (how it gets to the plastic part of the sensor is a mystery to me).

I had a similar leak, mine was leaking oil out of the terminals, in the plug. Replaced sender, no more leak.

Since mine is leaking in the same spot, I did a search on oil leak and found this post.
The above pics look exactly where the oil is on my 318i so I'll be ordering an oil housing gasket an O-ring from Blunt.
